CANINE PARTNERS
Canine Partners is a progressive charity that aims to transform the lives of people
with disabilities, enabling them to live more independently by partnering them with
highly trained assistance dogs. As a registered charity we receive no government
funding and are wholly dependent on public donations and legacies.
SUPPORT DOGS
Support Dogs is a UK charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for people
with epilepsy and people with disabilities by training dogs to act as efficient and safe
assistants. Our dogs are trained to assist and support their owners with their specific
disability. Each dog is taught tasks tailored to his owner's needs, enabling the
disabled person to lead a fuller and more independent life
HEARING DOGS FOR DEAF PEOPLE
Hearing dogs change lives. They alert their deaf owners to sounds we take for
granted, providing greater independence, confidence and security. Most are selected
from rescue centres or donated as unwanted pets. We rely totally on the generosity of
individuals and organisations to continue transforming the lives of deaf people and
unwanted puppies.
TAILWAGGERS
Tailwaggers helps needy dog and cat owners in meeting the cost of veterinary bills.
They are often the ONLY organisation that dog and cat owners can turn to when they
are in distress about meeting the cost of unexpected veterinary bills. Sometimes
this can, quite literally, make the difference between life and death of a beloved pet.
CANCER AND BIO-DETECTION DOGS
Cancer and Bio-detection dogs save human lives. In collaboration with the Bucks NHS trust we are dedicated to improving our understanding and diagnosis of human disease, notably cancer, through the training of dogs to identify the unique odours associated with these conditions. We also provide hypoglycaemic detection dogs for individuals with poorly controlled diabetes. Funding is urgently required to continue this groundbreaking work.
